Our normal carpet/upholstery cleaning service is intended for normal wear and tear, including reasonable expectations of dirt buildup and other residue. Of course, many times things are much worse than that and require a little extra work to get out. For stains that are resistant to our initial cleaning solution, we can use powerful chemical solutions to get rid of stains in isolated areas including, but not limited to: pet accidents, alcohol (e.g. wine, beer), excrement, blood, grease, severe dirt stains, mould, and other residue.

We do not usually use chemicals unless it absolutely necessary as they have been proven to damage fabrics if used too frequently. In most cases, however, mild use will yield results that make the intended fabric look closer (if not restored) to their original form.

Yes, we take special care to use mild detergents that are safe for adults, children, and any pets that come into contact. You won't need to worry about any allergic reactions or health-related issues after we clean things up, which is exactly why we come in the first place!

At aba Carpet and Upholstery Cleaning, like the name implies, we also provide specialised cleaning and deodorising of certain types of furniture (i.e. leather, cloth seats, rugs, etc).

We only require access to power and hot water, however, there are a few things you can do before we arrive to help us finish the job faster and more thoroughly.

1. Move any furniture that may impede our workers from cleaning a desired area.
2. Let us know ahead of time if access to your property is geographically difficult, as it may take extra prep time for loading/unloading our equipment.
3. Make sure that someone will be present when the job is completed or pay ahead of time so everyone's schedule can be accommodated.

Yes, as a general rule of thumb, the longer a recent spill or remnants remain, the more time it has to dry. This process doesn’t take very long. Depending on the weather, you should wait no more than 2-3 days. Once something has actually dyed the color of the carpet, there is nothing that can be done except having that section replaced or left as is. Depending on how acidic a substance is also determines how much damage to expect and closes this window of time further.

It is difficult to avoid walking on your floors completely, especially if it’s a job done at home. However, we recommend allowing about 3 – 4 hours for most carpets to dry. It will not damage the carpet in any way if you walk on it immediately after it has been cleaned, but doing so can leave footprints, impressions, or cause dirt to stick more easily.

Impressions left by the machine or people walking through will usually only show for the brief period during the carpet’s drying period. It is best to wait until after a carpet has fully dried to look for these types of marks.

It may seem as if the more you want done, the more it is going to cost you, but that is not always the case. Many of our deals can actually cater to larger jobs and ultimately save you money. Indicating from the beginning on whether you are needing a commercial or residential job will help us to more quickly scope out the equipment necessary.
